Cheapest Petrol For U.K. Road Users
Buying and running a vehicle for many householders is no longer a luxury but simply a necessity. Yet the cost for the householder is increasing substantially.
Where are our fuel costs going? Certainly the trend is onwards and upwards. Are we heading towards the possibility of motoring becoming a luxury and more and more prohibitive for families and pensioners?
It is an interesting thought and one that we should be giving thought too.
Politics certainly plays a major part in the price we pay for our petrol / diesel and there is a real danger politicians are going to tax people off the road . If we start off on this path then our jittery economy would certainly experience a few stumbling blocks on it’s way to recovery.
What about us the average motorist? What can we do to ensure that we obtain the cheapest petrol? Once we have the petrol in our tank how can we ensure that we drive economically giving thought to our petrol and diesel consumption?
Do you as a purchaser of fuel realise how the price of fuel is broken down at the pump? I am sure that you like most people don’t know these values. It is worth looking at, when we know who is taking the profit then we can come together and force recognition of the profiteers.
As we see the cost of fuel climb there are many, many financial sectors struggling with the price increases. In rural areas the drivers here are hugely dependent on their vehicles yet petrol stations in these areas are charging vastly inflated prices for their fuel.
Many small businesses have been hit hard including hauliers and driving instructors. The fuel costs are taking up a good proportion of their profits. But who pays in the end? The small business owner will be forced to increase costs which will eventually impact our pocket – the average householder.
Prior to being elected the Conservatives proposed a “fuel stabiliser” so that when oil prices go up, taxes go down, and vice versa. Well now is the time for our Government to put something in place because we, the motorist need a way to ensure that we receive the cheapest petrol so that we can continue with our daily business and lives.
